Subject

^Rest is a ~way~ to ^Refresh our ~body~ and ~mind~ for ^Normal ~life~ within ourselves and, to others and our world.

^Sleep is a mode of ^Schedule and of ^Refresh that is an essential ~foundation~ to the ~daily~ ~process~ to ^Recover our ~mind~ and ~body~.  This is such an essential and total ^Function of our ^Mind but in ~season~ its mastery may ^Escape us.  A tiny recess of our ~mind~ may ^Keep us awake without our ~ability~ to ^Notice so ^Try to ^Feel it ~alone~ and in ~focus~ to ^Find any ~obstacle~ to it.

A careful crafting of context ^Change may induce it.  For ~example~ a topic of boredom may cause us to ^Choose to ^Avoid yet not ^Go nor ^Leave.  Then we may ^Come to a tangent topic of ~excitement~ which may cause us to ^Trust ~focus~.  After that a thinking tangent topic will cause us to ^Care to ^Replace it.  At this ~point~ our ^Mind has pruned its ~own~ ~tree~ of thought (almost every ~branch~), so ^Divide ^What may ^Remain such as by a blurry almost-tangent almost-topic non-interactive thing.

Another ~example~ technique is that of the ultimate refusal which toddlers may instinctively ^Engage at nap time but which we may ~learn~ to ^Engage with ~purpose~.  In short, we ^Start ~exhausted~ after we ^Engage in ~full~ in an activity.  Then at ~presence~ of a ~choice~, we ^Refuse ~choice~.  Then at ~presence~ of our refusal, we ^Refuse to ^Refuse.  ^Repeat until feeling helpless to resist, physically relaxed, motionless.  We may ^Prefer that a friend or ^Buddy ^Take up our ~daily-self-care~ and ^Offer the necessary ~opposition~ without ~force~ yet may ^Anticipate calmly that ~sleep~ is and should ^Come.

Target

^Consider it anytime in regard to a ~daily~ ~habit~.  ^Remember the power and importance to ^Sleep ^Regularly.

Anytime with caution as to the nature of the ^Need.

^When in ~harmony~ to ~emotion~.

As a ^Buddy, ^When we ^Notice a ~lack~ or ~excess~ of ~surprise~, we may ^Offer a ~space~ to ^Rest anytime ~trust~ is ~prudent~ to that ~end~.

To ^Oppose ^Food, ^Water or ^Life.  To ^Oppose ~refresh~ and ~emotion~ within our ~restore~.

Anytime in ^Simple ^Respect to ^Rest although in ~presence~ of ^Fear, ^Desire, ^Sorrow or ^Shame.  For ~example~, ^Rest does not ^Mask our ~desire~.  Yet, ^Rest may ^Help ourselves or others to endure ~desire~ until we can ^Heal from it.

Do so only ^When in ~harmony~ to ^Surprise, ^Anger, ^Disgust or ^Happiness.  For ~example~, we don't ^Want to ^Embrace ^When we ^Feel ~anger~ towards ~one-another~ or our environment.  Yet once we ^Restore ~harmony~, we may ^Sleep freely as means to alleviate the ^Emotion.  We ^Mask next ~steps~ ^When we incautiously ^Sleep irrespective of ^What we ^Feel.  That's ^Okay!  We can ^Grow to ^Become ^Better at it.
