^Restore our ~mind~
In the field of mental ~health~, we may ^Organize our concerns into three categories or ~parts~: ^How we ^Think, ^How we ^Feel and ^How we ^Act. And there we have it! That is the essential ~model~ of the ~mind~. ^Feel, ^Act and ^Think. ^Simple, right? I ^Call it the FAT ~model~ of the ~mind~ for acronym of its three ~parts~.
I ^Connect and ^Relate many concepts to ~one-another~
in The Book of ^MESH so
to ^Remind us of concepts in ~connection~,
^Look for the ^
caret ~symbol~.
A caret before a word or phrase
will ^Signal a ^Concept of the ~mind~.
And ~care~ is key to ^Heal.
We have carrots (with vitamin A)
to ^Help our eyes
to ^See.
We may ^Compare this to our ~mind~:
we ^Improve ^When we ^Remember to ^Care.
Carrots for our eyes.
^Care for our ~mind~.
These concepts exist both as functions of the ~mind~ and
as objects of them, sometimes called a ~mode~ or distortion.
A mode is identical to a ^Concept except that it may ^Continue ~active~.
A mode is ~active~ or ~ready~,
so it has provided or may ^Provide ~results~.
So I will ^Use the ~
tilde ~symbol~.
A ~mode~ lasts till the ~end~
with a ~purpose~.
Its waviness is a ~metaphor~ of
^How it may ^Tend to ^Return to itself
in self-maintenance once ~active~.
It is ~like~ ~homeostasis~ of ~thought~.
We might ^Say that a ~mode~ is an instance or
an ^Active ~expression~ of a ^Concept.
Each ^Concept or ~mode~ is a building ~block~. We can ^Give it a ~name~ on which we pivot our ~knowledge~. Along with naming it we can ^Express a ~definition~ of it ^FAST. ^FAST is an acronym for: ^Figure, ^Annotate, ^Subject and ^Target. I ^Need to ^Tell about it and ^Work it out ^Quickly, so I ^Use ^FAST to ^Help me do it.
As we ^Feel, ^Act and ^Think, we can ^Annotate the events in our ~mind~ ^One ~step~ ~at-a-time~. However, each ~step~ of an ~expression~ is also a ~chance~ to ~create~ a new ~expression~. That is a reason ^Why we can get ^Really ~lost~ as we ^Tell our ^Own story.
We ^Call them tangents, and without any ~help~ they ^Take ~flight~ into other topics. For a ^Full ~knowledge~ of some events we may ^Need to ^Explore so many tangents as we ^Describe them that it may ^Feel ~like~ either we ^Never ^Arrive ^Back at our original ~message~ or we ^Never ^Adequately ^Speak or ^Write about our ~experience~ despite our ~aim~ to ^Let others have ~opportunities~ to ^Hold ~enough~ ~empathy~ to ^See or ^Care.
^How many of us ^Feel ~like~ we might ^Drown in ourselves or the ~unknown~ and we would ^Ask for ~help~, but we ^Feel ~like~ we ^Need to ^Give so much ~context~ to the ~question~ that we could ^Never ^Adequately ^Ask it? And sometimes we ^Know we have a ~question~ or an ^Important concern somewhere, but we can't even ^Name-or-express it with ^Enough ~context~ for our ^Own ~knowledge~. Some of us ^Drown ^More than others. That is ^Okay if we ^Feel ~like~ that, and it is ^Okay if we have ^No ~experience~ with that yet too! If it feels ~like~ an ^Important tangent we can at least ^Name it arbitrarily (for ~example~, ~my-tangent-1~) or in ~summary~ (for ~example~, ~my-favorite-recipe~) and then we can put aside the details.
And it is ^No coincidence that this is the ~way~ that I ^Share The Book of ^MESH with you too! ^When it is ~complex~ I just ^Name it, so that I can ^Express it elsewhere. To our ~benefit~ and as I ^Imply in the ~name~ of the book, ^MESH is the MAIN ^Concept to ^Apply for ^Maximum ~health~.
This ^First chapter has several concepts upon which The Book of ^MESH did ^Grow: ^Mind as its seed, ^Concept as its sprout, ^Emotion as its ~flower~, ^Operator as its fruit, ^Motivator as our ~thirst~ for it, ^Restorer as its feast and ^Attach as our ~space~ to ^Grow from it.
